Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A resurgent Medvedev won his initial championship for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging period, managing just one match at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in specific - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden trophy after the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
Success also indicates he has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my children at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in Halle earlier this year.
His counter-punching approach and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had caused commentators to wonder if his skill to compete at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the player has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play positively, reinforced by an improved serve.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
Both players traded break points in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to create a final set.
He saved four early-game chances in a competitive final set before the champion broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev secured victory with a point at the net, with the Frenchman unable to control a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
